Within Hakkı Tan's Reality Paradigm research programme, Metabolic Cost Transfer names the transfer of consequences produced across food, labour, social, and biological systems into the subject's body, responsibility, and treatment burden.
The transfer of consequences produced across food, labour, social, and biological systems into the subject's body, responsibility, and treatment burden.

Cost transfer does not mean that the individual contributes nothing to an outcome. It rejects the unequal allocation in which constitutive power disappears and responsibility is assigned only at the final, visible point.
The concept completes the Metabolic Ambush sequence from constructed conditions to action, phenotype, judgement, and treatment.
